You ain't nothin' but a hound dog!
Well, I wasn't going to do a sketch-update, but since next week is Orientation and I am not sure how things are going to be going forward timewise, it's probably just as well to get one in. In case. So hurray, sketch-update!

Yeah, this is still stuff from the previous sketchbook. At this rate I may never get caught up. Har.

They said you was high-class, well that was just a lie )

Stone the crows, if it isn't a sketch-update at last!

It's another very very very Menagerie update. This was a very very very Menagerie sketchbook, for whatever set of reasons.

The movement you need is on your shoulder )

AND THAT WOULD APPEAR TO BE IT. 'Till next time, folks!

Did you notice that he threw you in the garbage?
I can hardly credit it myself, but it would seem I have gotten the gumption together to scan and write a sketchupdate! Amazing! I'm still working my way through the stuff I drew on hiatus. Uh. Yeah. I'm nearly finished with the sketchbook, should work on scanning more of it.

What heist were you watching?! )

You never wear a stich of lace
You will not be surprised to hear that during my 'Net hiatus I built up a fearful, fearful backlog. This update represents only a portion of what I've drawn--just what I could get together the gumption to scan. It has become a bit difficult to actually put in the effort of scanning, transferring, formatting, uploading, coding into update. I got kinda spoiled with just drawing and drawing and not having to scan.

Anyroad, here's what I DID scan )

Th-th-that's all, folks!

GOOD GRIEF can it be? Can it truly be? A Friday sketch-update?!

And what's more, it's an end-of-sketchbook update, so it's nice and fat!

Got no regard for the thing that you don't understand )

You got no fear of the underdog
This week I just got totally disoriented and somehow thought today was Friday.

Yeah. It's a pretty pathetic update anyway, not been drawing much. I think partly because I'm annoyed with this warped sketchbook, but I'm determined not to waste it. Blar.

That's why you will not survive )

Maybe next week there will be a more substantial update. I'd say maybe it will be on Friday, but I'm beginning to doubt that will ever happen.

Now I have to go write drabbles, and possibly more of this short story in which aw man the lads are being very them.

Should I just call this the Saturday sketchpost and be done with it? I'm sorely tempted except that I really do think Friday is a better day. I just. Can't. Make it.

Anyroad, I am in a surprisingly good mood and will take the opportunity to do sketchpost, before I have to return to studying (yay, summer school).

Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you )

Stop the presses, kids, I found my thumb drive! Joy!

Unfortunately, it's a rather small update anyway. Sorry. Had a hard time focusing on much of anything lately, no idea why.

Baby, baby, where did our love go? )

THAT IS THE LOT sadly no clever little image to put outside the cut, such is life.

Day late again (I need to schedule better! It may be easier when I don't have class spang in the middle of the day on Thursdays). But anyway, we DO have a sketch-update!

Instead of breaking up, let's do some kissin' and makin' up
Last night when I tried to scan my stuff, a thunderstorm interrupted me!

So that's why the sketch-update is late.

Again.

Sorry.

Never have one girl at a time )

Okay, uh. Now for something slightly different! When I was a kid, much as today, I liked to draw funky made-up creatures. Back then, though, I was in the habit of developing entire ecologies for these made-up creatures, with food chains and all kinds of neat stuff. I recently rediscovered an old notebook whose pages are divided into a blank top half and a lined lower half. I used this notebook as a sort of field guide, drawing my made-up animals on the blank part and filling the lined part with the sort of notes you'd find in your average field guide.

Looking through this field guide to my young imagination, I decided I wanted to draw some of these creatures again because you know what, they were pretty fun.

Which is what is beneath THIS cut )

That long enough for y'all? Next sketch-update will probably be an END-OF-SKETCHBOOK update, which of course means I'll scan all the silly headshots and stuff I left out in other updates.

Till then, my children!

QUESTION, GANG
Hey, gang, question for your brilliant minds to mull over! In re Glinda (as seen here, here, here, here, and here). I have been unable for some time to figure out her surname, and it is frustrating me to no little extent. So I come to you, hoping that somewhere out there is the perfect name that I just haven't thought of, and that you, dear reader, will helpfully suggest it in a comment on this entry.

Please?

Additional info: Glinda is a very calculating young lady who lives in Pool, in the British-Gallic territories, and dates Simon, Saul, AND Cass at various points (but ends up with Cass more often than not). She kinda can't decide whether she wants to be a bad girl or not. Don't know much about her family, but she's fairly middle-class. Also, she has a brother named Silas.

In terms of Menagerie surnames, anything English is always appropriate for a Pool character, but so is pretty much... anything else. Weird surnames are definitely allowed.

Late again--this time, I have an excuse. I've been running back and forth dealing with family crises. So. Yes.

There'll be no linkpost due to lack of dA/flickr uploads, incidentally.
