Hey, guys, just want to say, thanks for the encouraging feedback on the (filtered) poem! Again, if anyone has suggestions I am all up for them, but it is also a huge boost to know just that it touches a chord with folks. I will respond to your super-nice comments eventually, I promise!

Okay, so! It's time for another installment of this mondo ginormous set of sketchposts, attempting to get current on the backlog occupying 2/3 of my sketchbook. I figure while I've got all this art I might as well make fairly frequent sketchposts. They always say consistency is the key to... to something magical? I don't know, usually I'm too busy writing (or rewriting, or writing which is at the same time rewriting).

ANYPANTS. The last update was friends-only, because it was rather excruciatingly personal and/or self-focused. This update, however, is a smorgasbord of thingies, only one or two of which have anything to do with me (are we all grateful yes I thought so).

She no longer needs you )

That's all for the moment--expect another update sometime in the near future, with more story-related stuff.

edit: Hey, don't forget I've got that meme still open, wherein you can convince me to spill the beans on any number of the baffling things I reference in these sketchposts.

Yes, I hear you, I am supposed to be on hiatus! Well, it seems I had an unexpected unofficial half day (snow, school did not close, but I myself was snowed in for chapel and Western Lit), and instead of getting ahead on my schoolwork, I decided to write up some sketch-updates. Figured I'd see about the mildly obscene amount of artwork I have scanned and formatted (there is, of course, more still in the sketchbook. I'm nearly done with this sketchbook, truth be known). Then I went to the rest of my classes and, instead of getting straight to the books on my arrival home, I edited and am posting this.

Not to mention, I miss all the weird and wonderful folks around here (I miss the general Internet culture less, but eh).

Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair )

EGADS! AN UPDATE!

AN UPDATE SO HUGE, IT MAKES SMALLER UPDATES CRY BITTER, BITTER TEARS AT THEIR INADEQUACY!

The truth is, this is about half a sketchbook, which I filled up during the semester but never had time to scan. Now, however, I have scanned and formatted all of these sketches, and thus the public can at last view the sordid contents of my brain!

Sort of.

Seriously, be warned: it is an update that is huge )

Good golly gee, my hep cats, it would seem we are overdue for a sketchupdate (argh keep trying to make Friday, keep failing).

I need to reply to comments. LATER.

For now, how about those fishpeople I promised? )

Tomorrow there may be a sketch-update, I hope. Right now, howev', I am going to bed. Or trying, anyway, because I am so full of caffeine it just isn't funny. I forgot just how spazzy Excedrin makes me.

I cannot possibly wait, I am too excited. SO.

As always, disclaimer: some of the folks I did gifts for don't celebrate Christmas. But I think this is a good excuse to remind them that they are awesome and that I dig them lots. So, if you don't celebrate Crimmus and you got a gift, I'm hoping you won't be offended, because it's just a token of how cool I think you are.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!

MURRY CRIMMUS ONE AND ALL.

As I do every year on Christmas Eve, here are a bunch of little presents for some of the folks I know and and/or admire on the Intarweb. It's always incredibly hard for me to pick recipients--this year, as a matter of fact, I broke all previous records, making 28 gifts all told.

They're not huge involved affairs, just a little something that I hope will add some cheer to your Christmas. Even if you don't celebrate Christmas (as I know some of you don't), I hope this'll give you some general pleasure as a token of my goodwill towards you.

Gift Arts! )
